About Brian Shelton

Brian has spent over 32 years in the banking and financial services industry. Throughout his career, he has had the privilege of working with talented mentors and leadership who have challenged him to find solutions to complex financial problems and opportunities. Brian firmly believes that active listening is the cornerstone of successful banking. He understands that by asking pertinent questions and gaining a comprehensive understanding of a customer's situation, he can work collaboratively with them to find a tailored solution that addresses their specific needs, be it personal or business-related. As the Bank President, Brian has instilled this same culture and work ethic in the Duluth/Hermantown team. In addition to his banking career, Brian is a retired Army National Guard Abrams Master Gunner and First Sergeant who has served in Iraq and Bosnia as an Armor Company First Sergeant.
